WI: King Charles I had not fled London in January 1642

Gone Fishin'
In January 1641 King Charles and his court fled London, after his failure to arrest five members of parliament namely; John Hampden, Arthur Haselrig, Denzil Holles, John Pym and William
Strode.

Apparently King Charles and fled London, along with sending Queen Henrietta Maria and Princess Mary. Mainly because he feared that himself and Queen Henrietta Maria were going to be murdered. After failing to try and seize the military arsenal at Hull. Charles raised his royal standard at Notthingham on 22 August 1642, starting the First English Civil War.

What if Charles was not afraid him and Henrietta Maria were going to be murdered and stayed in London. Any thoughts on what happens next.

Presumably imprisoned by Parliament who sets up some form of "regency".
War in Ireland rages on and whether there is war in England and/or Scotland depends on how individual royalist groups react.

Parliament would have figure out a way of capturing Charles I. According to Ronald Hutton Charles I feared that his opponents in Parliament would use the London mob to get through the security of the royal palaces to get to him and his family. Honestly I can't King Charles opponents doing anything like that.
