WI: Judas does not betray Jesus?

Assuming that the New Testament narrative about Judas selling Jesus to the Pharisees for 30 pieces of silver is true, what happens if he doesn't sell out his friend and possible relative? Is Jesus still crucified? I imagine so, since his followers called him "King of the Jews" and claimed that he was descended from the line of David, but... how does it change the nature of Christianity if Judas is not a traitor? How might Judas himself change the religion? Wasn't he particularly close to Jesus? Would he not then be the logical inheritor of the movement?

To be fair, the Pharisees have been shadowing Jesus for years at this point, and have tried to kill him before. It is not unlikely a passing pharisee would see a glimpse of Jesus or the Disciples and say "hey, that's that guy we've been trying to kill," they go out and drag him out and the Crucifixion and Resurrection occur as OTL. You could even have said Pharisee bribe Roman soldiers to help collect Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, fulfiling the prophesy that way.

Right after I graduated high school, I even made a TL about WI Judas Iscariot repented of his sin, but I lost interest and abandoned it, but you could read it here if you'd like.
