Wi Joseph instead of Thatcher?

Hi guys,

As most of you know, Margaret Thatcher was very much a dark horse for the Tory party leadership in 1975, with many MP's backing her in an attempt to oust the unpopular Ted Heath as leader.

Her close friend, Keith Joseph, was seen as a much likely contender for the leadership, before he messed up his chances by making a particularly ill-judged speech.

What if, he either didn't make the speech, or it came across as less controversial?

Does he challenge Heath for the leadership? If he becomes leader, can he steer the tories to victory in 1979?

Assuming he wins and becomes PM, how does a Joseph premiership differ to the OTL Thatcher one? I significantly doubt the Falklands war happens, but how does Joseph deal with the troubles of the late 70's and early 80's?

What's his foreign polecy like?
