WI: John Wilkes Booth Grave Faked

What if the grave hold John Wilkes Booth in actually did not really contain his body and this conclusion is discovered via DNA evidence decades later?

Booth had several graves, so it's not unreasonable that the one he's buried in is the wrong body. In short, the undertakers cocked up their job. However it's worth noting that if you did want to dig the guy up, no one really knows at this point where Booth is buried (It's unmarked, hence why Edwin's the poor sap everyone wants dug up). It is in the Booth Family Plot, however, but as it's unmarked, it's going to be easier to just grab some of the extracted vertebrae that's on display, which would be honestly better for this. But if they did discover Booth is not the man who is on display, there will be a big search to track down what happened, and the 'Booth escaped' theories will be taken into serious consideration.
