WI: John, Prince of Asturias survives and has issue, Joanna survives her husband without issue?

Basically as the tin says, what if John of Asturias survives with issue while Juana does not produce issue and survives her husband Philip?

Assuming John has kids with Margaret, they will eventually inherit Austria and Burgundy after the death of Philip and Margaret. So there will still be a personal union between the Habsburg possessions and Castile-Aragon, but this time under a Trastamara. As for the imperial succession, John and Margaret's son could get the title of HRE, but it wouldn't be guaranteed, and the Electors could elect someone more German (like the Duke of Bavaria, a nephew of the late Emperor).

They will inherit the netherlands, maybe a younger son will get that.

Maximilian, seeing that his line is going to be excint, would try to get annulment of his marriage with Bianca Maria (as Holy Roman Emperor he should not have much problems with it, and even if he failed to get annulment, which is very unlikely, he still outlived Bianca so he would have time to remarry) and would marry again. Thus Austria is not going to Trastamaras if Max have son by his new wife, although said son could be too young to win Imperial election after Max' death.

Everything would work much better if Maximilian had children by Bianca Maria or at least Kunigunde had married her original fiancé (or one of his brothers)...

In no way a son of Margaret (female and Burgundian by birth and French raised) and John (full Spanish) will be able to inheriting the Austrian lands. Burgundy yes, that would be Margaret’s own inheritance but Austria absolutely not. If Max had no sons by Bianca Maria or a fourth wife and will be unable/uninterested to secure his inheritance for the son of his sister then his successor as HRE will be free to give the Austrian lands to anyone he wanted

Well most likely cut the reign of Charles V and put directly Philip II... unless Burgundy is luckier and is directly given to the second son of Juan and Margaret.
No, it would fully different.

Take away Charles V with his idea of the Catholic Empire and the Burgundian heritage and you take away also Philip II.
You get instead a series of Spanish Kings more centered in the Iberian peninsula and the Mediterranean. The Burgundian lands would be perceived as something that it is not patrimonial and could be traded. Something like France cedes her claims on Naples and Milan, but Spain leaves Burgundy to a Trastamara prince married to a French princess.

However it is a really interesting scenario:

* Who becomes the new HRE emperor? The King of France? The Elector of Saxony?... The King of England?
* Do we have a Spanish invassion of North Africa? Maybe trying to secure the Western Mediterranean to make it an Spanish Lake?
* What about the relationship with Portugal and the lands recently discovered?

If Philip would die before the consummation of the marriage, Joanna can marry to Manuel as his second wife, Maria would be available aside from Catherine of Aragon.

Well Philip OTL would have liked better seeing Charles, Duke of Orleans marrying Maria (aka his only sister) with Netherlands as dowry instead of his cousin Anna with Milan so...
Philip cared little for Netherlands but still they were a rich land and he wanted keep it because his father loved it.

But as I said Charles himself (who was fully Burgundian) was not adverse to the idea of giving Netherlands to a French prince married to a Habsburg princess... Plus Charles also was for long time undecided between destining Netherlands to Maria or Philip before settling them on the eventual children of his son’s second wedding with Mary Tudor
