WI John Huniadi came to Constantinople's help in 1453?

How possible it is that John Huniadi and his army come to relieve the city of Constantinople from Ottoman siege in 1453? Emperor Constantine XI and city defenders hoped till the last day that he would show up and rescue them... They even mistook a mysterious natural phenomenon (some lights behind the turkish camp which were in reality reflections from a volcanic eruption) to be campfires from Huniadi's army who they believed he was coming... Could Huniadi saved Constantinople if he mustered an army and marched south?

How about Huniadi coming to Constantinople by sea in order to avoid any possible clashes with Ottoman garisons around Constantinople?

To say that hypothetically they managed to pull this stunt and not get noticed by the Ottomans until they were right near Constantinople, they're facing an incredibly large and well experienced force of fighters. The Ottoman Army at this time was perhaps one of the most powerful if not the most powerful and efficient, and well organized force in Europe so there's still the actual fighting.

Constantinople.

Why bother? In 1453 the city was poor, depopulated and not really worth saving.

The same thing with Jerusalem during the Crusades. Anyways if Huniadi is successful, the Byzantine Empire probably survives for a year. Maybe two years at max but the Ottomans would be back.

Hunyadi would have to cross the Danube and operate over very extended supply lines through hostile territory. Mehmed would turn to crush him, which would only damage the morale in Constantinople.

Actually came very close to happening during the Varna Crusade, which itself was a very close run battle. I don't know if Hyundi could actually save the Byzantines, probably not, but if the crusade suceeds, this could see a whole new wave of relgious fanatism agianst the Ottomans. Though as noted above, the Ottomans are likley to be the eventual victors due to their superior army, despite how great a general Hunyadi was.

A ventual success at Varna, combined with a landing of western countries in Pelopones, I think would pushed otomans in Anatolia.

doubtful.

the Ottomans were already in Anatolia. and in the Balkans.

Precisely what could Varna Crusade achieve at best? With a crushing victory at Varna, how much would Ottomans be able to hold in Balkans? By 1444, they had been taking roots for 90 years.
