Why would they go about sending a large number of rebellious and intransigent Jewish people to Britain? That sounds like a recipe for further revolt.

Exactly, Britain was already rebellious and intransigent, that's why so many legions were stationed. Why add more?

Because if they succeed in rebelling, they're not going to have an easy time joining the invasions in large numbers.

Germanic invasions of Gaul. If Britain breaks off, it's far less of a threat than a region like Germany that is connected to Roman territories by land.

Why would the Romans make it easier for invaders though? It's illogical for them to move rebellious populations to other rebellious regions unless they're employing them to keep those regions pacified. That's what the foederati were intended as. It initially succeeded.

So Britain is still a backwater shithole in Roman eyes, Britain still gets left, Britain still gets Anglo-Saxon conquest.
Except this time with a local Anglish version of Yiddish. And maybe a few more bankers, but not much more than what already exists in medieval Europe at the time.

No. They did big population transfers to the afterlife, but they're not in the mass migration business.

Edit: better to split them up and cart them off all across the empire so they can't form up in big concentrations anywhere.
Putting lots and lots of Jews in Britain is not something they'd do because it's unprofitable and convoluted compared to their existing policy, which is much safer, cheaper and more profitable.

They moved tribes as foedarati in the Late Empire but I don't recall them moving already settled people.

A more implausible option: The Jews develop both a maritime culture as a result of the united kingdom of Israel and Judah under Solomon conquering Phoenicia, and found a Carthage-like settlement in North Africa. Judaism develops in a form recognizable as OTL(yes a lot of butterfly slaughter I know), and this Jewish Carthage becomes a hegemonic power, that after defeating some Italic power, whether it's Rome or not, eventually founds small outposts on Britain.
