Even in the best possible outcome of terms, he would only be a smaller version of King David. Definitely not a man to found a religion on. And with Christianity focusing only on fighting Romans, it would be a minor radical Judaist sect, but it would never get any traction outside of Israel. Certainly not in Greece and Rome...

I raised a similar question earlier; to get Jesus as a Mohammed-style political/religious leader with any success you're going to have to keep Judea independent and at least radically reduce Roman influence.

Most posters thought you'd have to have a much earlier POD; I thought about Mark Antony successfully defeating Octavian, then himself getting beaten/assassinated while in Rome, with rebellions and civil war between various figures in Spain, Gaul, and North Africa keeping Rome preoccupied enough for Eastern rulers to throw off the yoke....
