WI: James V of Scotland makes a break with Rome along side Henry VIII

In OTL, Henry VIII asked his nephew, James V of Scotland, to break with Rome along side him. James V refused, and war eventually broke out once James' mother, Margaret Tudor (Henry VIII's sister), died.

But WI he doesn't refuse and makes solidarity with his uncle. Will there be an easier possibility of a marriage between Edward VI and Mary (who would be raised protestant)? An earlier union of the Crowns?

What would be the effects be beyond that?
