WI James V of Scotland lives longer?

As says the title. WI instead of dieing in 1542, when he was 30, James V had lived 20 or 30 years more? A possible butterfly, of course, is that maybe he could have had more sons with Mary of Guise, and so Mary couldn't be Queen of Scots. But, considering that he was a zealous Catholic, could he have avoided the spread of Protestatism in his kingdom? And would it mean more wars with England?

If Protestantism in England follows its OTL path I can definitely see more wars with England.
For one thing James will likely see himself as the rightful Catholic King of England and could be supported by English Catholics.

His issue will definitely be an issue (;)).
No sons means any of his daughters's husbands will make noises about claiming the throne.
Who they are will be very important in what happens in the English court.

But could he actually keep Scotland country? Wouldn't the Protestants -that would probably have English support - take the control of the kingdom from him?

He might be forced to be more tolerant but I seriously doubt he'd be forced into exile like his daughter Mary Queen of Scots

Doubtful - the Scottish version of Protestantism was a great deal more fundamentalist than even the more extreme English versions.

And Mary going into exile was as a result of her panicking and losing her head, rather than any rational consideration of the situation on the ground.
