Exactly. What does Forbes bring the ticket? Kemp's entire
pitch is to fiscal conservatives; if he needs Forbes to bring them in, then he'll be lucky to be on half the ballots. It's stylistically similar to Paul Wellstone/Jesse Jackson, or Pat Buchanan/David Duke. Forbes has no experience, no charisma and no obvious draw.
Kemp seems like a nice guy with obvious commitment to his ideals, but I simply don't see how he could beat Clinton: the age of supply-side economics and economic rationalism was over. To put Forbes on the ticket would compound the problem. A Kemp government would be interesting, but almost impossible to bring about.
