Jack Leslie Clark (November 25, 1925 – July 21, 1988) was an American television game show host and announcer. He is best known for hosting The Cross-Wits, and as an offstage announcer for Wheel of Fortune. On the latter, he succeeded original announcer Charlie O'Donnell and held the role from 1980 until his death in 1988.
In 1988, when he came back from his illness, Jack Clark was asked to announce the Rolf Benirschke run of Wheel of Fortune. Clark also served as announcer of Bob Goen's run of Wheel of Fortune on CBS from 1989 to 1991 and on NBC in 1991.
In 1994, he served as announcer of the CD-i video game Jeopardy!, although Johnny Gilbert announced the show itself. In the late 90s, Jack Clark was hired to announce stuff for the cable channel, Game Show Network. He came on to say "Columbia TriStar Television" to close out shows like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! on GSN, covering up all references to KingWorld and lasted until 2000.
As of today, Jack Clark is still alive at the age of 91, second to famed Jeopardy! announcer Johnny Gilbert, announcing Wheel of Fortune.
