One of the interesting impacts of Italy not becoming fascist, and possibly not even entering the war, is Libya. Without Italy being preoccupied with Ethiopia and getting it self-involved in World War II there is a chance that Italian immigration into Libya could actually become successful. Unlike Algeria which already had a large area population Livio was scarcely populated and could have emerged as a predominately Italian region. A non-Fascist Italy almost certainly would not side with Adolf Hitler, assuming he's not butterflied, And as it now no longer One of the losers of World War II it most likely will keep Libya. Oil is subsequently discovered in Libya which will only increase Italian immigration into the province. Although it really looks like the big winner for much of the 50s and 60s, it is only a matter of time before the Libyan independence movement emerges.
