WI: Israel ends Lebanese Civil War early

With a POD around 1976-1989, how could Israel end the Lebanese Civil War earlier than OTL?

lets say israel somehow convinces all other factions to unite and expel PLO
Jordan steps in to help these factions pre-empting syrian intervention
Israel essentially serves as Jordan's airforce throughout this time , w/o commiting ground troops

Is this before or after Hezbollah becomes a thing ?

PS I count Syria as five way - Assad, FSA, AQ, IS, YPG. And thats counting FSA as one side, which is completely untrue ...

Even if Israel came up with a perfect solution to end the war, that somehow adequately satisfied the Lebanese, it wouldn't work because the it was a solution the ISRAELIS came up with, and therefore bad by definition. Even if Skippy the ASB tried to solve the problem, eventually he'd throw up his hands and transport the different factions to different alternative "virgin Lebanons", wall off the country and turn it in to a wildlife refuge. That has the best chance of working.

Honestly the Shia of Lebanon was said to have welcomed the Israeli as liberators early on, I think if Israel set up a alliance between Shia and Christians, we could likely have seen a coalition strong enough to break the other fractions. Also to be brutal honest I think a solution (which I doesn't support, because I'm against ethnic cleansing) could have been to expel the Palestinians to Syria.

How do the Jordanians get into Lebanon without Syrian approval?

In the OTL, in '82, the christians didn't turn out to be very good allies. IIRC part of the problem was their economic ties to KSA.

I don't think Syria would've accepted them. Jordan threw out the Palestinians, or at least the PLO c 1971, but they ended up in Lebanon not adjacent Syria.

Has Israel ever conducted any atmospheric Nuclear Tests?
(Vela Incident aside)

Okay so it would be a somewhat radical solution ... but short of salting the earth with cobalt?

Israeli has never done any testing of nuclear weapons therefore never acknowledge it has any.
