WI in 1629 Mwenmutapa throws out the Portuguese

I otl Mwenmutapa fought a war with Portugal in 1620s. In 1629 Mwenmutapa tried completly defeating Portugol but failed. WI he succeeds and overthrows the Portuguese. Say Mutapa captures Portugues armor, cannons, guns, and soldiers and has them modernize Mutapa. With the Portuguese colonies seized by Mutapa what happens. What does Portugol do now that its colonies have been destroyed and taken. Could Mutapa modernize itself or would it fall to some other European invader?

Its too for Mutapa late by 1629. Gold and diamond production had been steadily falling in the mines for decades or more. The Portuguese by that point were too many and too entrenched, let alone the technological edge in gunpowder weapons, metalworks, horses, etc. Not to mention that by 1629 the first of the Rowzi had started to infiltrate and raid along Mutapas borders.

If you want the kingdom to survive in some form the best time would be the 1560s and early 1570s.
