WI Iceland was settled by Celtic people's?

If instead of the Norse the unsettled Iceland was settled by the Celts (monks were there before in small numbers).

How would it have developed and would it have eventually fallen under the sphere of England/Britain?

True, but I think that the intent was to have a celtic society instead of a norse one.
I think that they would in many ways turned out much like Iceland has, although I think that the original Norse package was better predated to icelandic conditions than any of the Celtic one would have been.
When were you thinking about it having been settled?
