WI Hudson Hawk & Last Action Hero Succeed

What if they aren't derided as they were OTL and instead ar lauded as a pastiche or faithful reminiscence of older style films, particularly in Hudson Hawk's attempt at a playful homage to the older crime caper movie genre.

And just for the hell of it, make waterworld critically acclaimed, it wasn't a huge hollywood flop, it made the money back but just got stuck with the failure tag.

First of let me say Last Action Hero was a great satire.

And if it had been a success, I guess maybe Hollywood would have a little bit of air let out of it's enourmous ego. But there would still be a lot let.

But maybe we could see some more shows that poke fun at the industry itself.

I personally LOVE last action hero. Schwarzenegger at least had the balls to take the mickey out of himself on numerous occasions but I think ppeople were too scared because the film was one long lets have a laugh at Hollywood Action films.

Agreed.

And I love action films. At least sci-fi action films.

I was going to mention the Spielberg film "1941" because I heard it referred to as a failure. I looked it up to check and now, it is only considered "not as critically or financially successful as other spielberg films. Never mind. I did see mentioned that John Wayne and Charlton Heston suggested it not be made, as being unpatriotic. That's funny too.
