WI Hoover killed in 1928?

Shortly after his election in 1928, Hebert Hoover went on a tour of South America. During this tour there was an attempt i Argentina to blow up his rain. What would have happened with the plot succeeded?. How would the US respond and would their be military action. Also would it accelerate, or delay the great depression?

In my ignorance, I do know that Charles Curtis becomes president, and we have our first non-white, first American Indian president. That is assuming he wasn't with Hoover.

Looking up this Di Giovanni, it appears he had a bombing campaign going on, which a Hoover assassination would have been part of. When he was caught and detained, he suspended this campaign. Had he succeeded, and not have been caught or at least no immediately, he would have continued until such time as arrested.
