There is a different, extremely life changing POD for Adolf.
Around 8 years old, for some months he got interested into Catholic Church. Imagine that he continues and decides to become a priest.
During his young years, he receives psychological support at the times of his personal tragedies, remaining decently balanced.
He goes to seminary and receives a formal education, learns Latin and likely a smuttering of other languages, e.g. French or English or Spanish (as a preparation for missionary work).
His oratoric capabilties are discovered and professionally honed by his teachers, making him a top notch preacher.
When he is ordained, WWI is nearing the end but this does not prevent him to serve for a year or so as a military chaplain.
Father Adolph Hitler is extremely different from our Adolph Hitler, both under the cultural and psychological aspects. In many senses, he has become the germanic equivalent of another prelate, a georgian Pope called Josef Dzhugashvili <ominous sound of organ>.
After the war... well if you are interested, let me know.
