Good question. Maybe Belgium goes Commubnist or Fascist, or Vorbeck pushes his luck with another referendum?

I don't know...maybe if there were some sort of deal with France, but somehow I think that the gains already made are going to be about it...I could be wrong, however. ;)

Those lands were Austro-Hungarian. With the chance of an Anschluss with Austria now nil due to the mutual animosity of the two governments, most of the reasons for German annexation of the region are lost, and would be a distraction from their real concerns...the border with Poland.

Did L-V have any pan-Germanic ideas? If so, perhaps if Hitler tries something sketchy with Austria, L-V slaps him down and does an Anschluss of his own.

He's in the right wing, so probably some of that, but not enough to be as vicious as Hitler. But if Hitler gave him the opportunity, yeah.

I'd see it as part of a full out war, though. Unless there were a coup in Austria tossing out Hitler. However, given his OTL record, unless he is assassinated successfully (and doesn't his survival in OTL almost seem ASB?) he'd probably remain in power...he was rather good at that part, like a lot of dictators.

I always thought this one would have been fun to explore further. The idea of the Germans fighting the Nazis is always a fun one to me.
