I`m reading `Wages of Destruction` and am picking up a couple of things I`d never thought about.
Germany had 3 elections in 9 months between July 1932 and March 1933, and the Nazi fortunes were very up and down. In July 1932 the Nazis got 37% of the vote, in November 32 they got 33%, then Papen resigned and Hitler was appointed Chancellor in Jan 33 and called an election, in which (after the Nazi apparatus attacked the Communists) they won 43% of the vote which allowed Hitler to enact the Enabling Law.
WI Hitler was appointed Chancellor between July and Nov 32 before the Nazi slump in the polls?
