WI: hitler served in the artillery

to keep on with the hitler served threads

what if he served with the artillery branch rising to command a battery of 210mm guns

would he support mobile artillery more fully (assault guns)
would he have a healthier respect for firepower and its limitations
would he gain more technical skills to make him a tougher warlord

your thoughts?

Would he still be injured? would he have to resign his commission, would he thus enter politics?

A lot of Hitler must have been shaped by his experiences in the trenches so a lot of history post the beer hall putsch would be different

lets assume he gets wounded by some counter battery fire in 1918 nothing life threatening but it leaves some scars

and also before he went to the 210s he commanded a squad of trench morters so lets assume he got up close and personal with the enemey a few times to give himself trench credability

your thoughts?
Would he be half-deaf, so that a) it's hard to communicate with others, and b) loud cheering crowds drive him crazy?

The Third Reich builds giant cannons, many of them mobile, that make 'Big Bertha' from the Great War look like a peashooter. Huge fixed artillery are capable of bombarding London from within Germany's borders. By 1944 the German's build a 'Space Cannon' to lob self-guided shells at Moscow and Washington D.C..

lol, as a continuation of this I would like to note that after this the germans realize that they accidentally aimed it in the wrong direction so it only hits nantucket island in stead, unfortunately it is far too large to be reaimed, also each shell is so well engineered that it takes 3 years a peice to build them, and each one costs 1 billion deuchmarks, so the germans successfully conquer nantucket island in 1945 and are bankrupted at the same time.
