WI: Hitler Kills Self after Beer Hall Putsch

After the Beer Hall Putsch, the injured Hitler sought refuge in the home of his friend Ernst Hanfstaengl (who had briefly fled to Austria). It was here that Hanfstaeng's wife allegedly dissuaded him from killing himself when the police came to arrest him.

But what if she was not there, or was not able to change his mind, and Hitler died by his own hand in 1923?

Assuming that the Weimar Republic is doomed is similiar to assuming that Nazi Germany is bound to happen even if there is no Soviet Union.

With Hitler gone the NSDAP is lacking a charismatic and competent leadership and thus will not play any role in the Weimar Republic. So there is Communist Party left that will do everything to bring the republic down. But this won't work because most Germans fear the Soviets and thus will not vote for a party that is nothing more than a servant of the Soviet Union. All other major parties (including the DNVP) are not interested to replace the Weimar Republic with an authoritarian regime.
Thus the Weimar republic will survive.

Weimer was just as stable as the victors of WWI in the same period, and yet no one says that the later period French Third Republic, 20s US, or George V's Britain was doomed to failure.

I think another right wing government would dominate Germany during the 30s. They might not overthrow the Weimar Republic but they would pretty much run the country relatively uncontested. There was nasty a nationalist streak to politics and the status quo in Germany after 1918 that the Weimar Republic couldn't kill and the communists weren't powerful enough to overthrow. The DNVP or something similar would probably entrench themselves in German politics in the early 1930s in the Nazis place.

Has anyone read any good timelines with this POD or something similar resulting in the Nazis not rising to power through to the present? I personally can't think of a good TL that covers this.
