WI Hitler Joined The Austro-Hungarian Army In WW1?

My understanding is that the main reason he joined the German one was because he hated the idea that the Austro-Hungarian one was so racially integrated!

He dies with the prewar army either in 1914 or early 1915. OTL he left Austria to avoid the prewar draft, which would have ensured his presence in Galicia or Serbia in 1914.

From what I remember wasn't he declared to be the equivalent of 4-F in Austria after being sent back for draft dodging?

Didn't the A-H army suffer 90% casualties in WW1? If so Hitler could reasonably expected to be maimed or killed, probably better than his gassing IOTL.

Closer to 66%. But his chance of capture would be quite high, especially by the Russians, plus some nice Bolshevik indoctrination while in Siberia too.

Hitler goes Bolshevik and leads the revolution in Germany? Now that would just be odd from our timeline's point of view. :)
