WI Hitler had children?

If Hitler had any children, and the Soivet got their hand on them, they would have become wards of the USSR, and being well treated while growing up to be the perfect communists. If they ended up in the Westen zone they would likely have been adopted away while their identity was hidden.

I would rather assumed they would land in one of the thousands of foster homes in the Soviet Union (where the children of executed or imprisoned "enemies of the people" were accomodated). They would never been told who their parents were, and would probably end up later in some manual labor job - or simply on the street.

And waste the propaganda value of Comrade Hitler? I don't think so.

To be honest, I rather think they would have passed up the opportunity.

The war turned from ideological into patriotic really quick, and there was real hatred for Hitler and the Nazis and some of it spilled over to just regular Germans too.

That and Stalin wasn't really an ideologue; he'd likely have gone the pragmatic way and sent them to a "detdom" somewhere.

I mean, it's intriguing, but children take a lot of time to grow up and this kind of propaganda is very short-term...and it would inspire as much negative as positive feelings both domestically and in the West.

I recall reading something about him having an affair with a french women resulting in a child. It also said that this supposed son was assisted by Hitler in securing a significant position in the French railway but was unemployed by war's end. Anyone heard of this one?

They probably do what most of the other members of the Hitler family have; move out of Germany and far away from anyone who knows them, then change their name and spend the rest of their lives trying as hard as they can to keep under the radar.
Aren't they all called Schicklgruber anyway?
