One of the reasons why they didn't kill Paulus (Sixth army field Marshall at Stalingrad) afterall
Let's say Hitler's son is 8-years-old at the end of WWII. And let's say the Soviet Union generally liberalizes after the death of Stalin. Karl (?) Hitler becomes a doctor. In the '60s, the USSR and U.S. compete more and more in terms of genuine economic development in the Third World.
Karl even helps with one minor medical advance and helps to publicize several others. He wisely realizes that he's too radioactive red hot to be in the forefront, but on one important occasion he skillfully plays the role of first follower (also a type of leadership).
And, he's kind of a half-assed pacifist without making a big deal about it. Or, not even that. On one occasion, Karl says, the lesson of World War II, or what we call here in the Soviet Union, the Great Patriotic War, is that war is highly destructive and is best avoided if we can. But usually, he doesn't even go this far. Just doesn't make public statements about war.
