I was reading a while back that Adolf Hitler's anglophile views began as a result of Britain's intervention on Germany's behalf in incidents such as the Genoa Conference and the French occupation of the Ruhr, what if he had a more clear-sighted view that the British were acting in their own interests and that they would never accept a German-dominated continent?
Would German military buildup and diplomacy change without Hitler trying to pursue the pipe dream of an Anglo-German alliance?
