WI: Hitler dies in 1934

The day after Hindenburg dies, Hitler falls down some stairs and breaks his neck. Who would come to power in this case? The night of the long knives has already happened, and Hitler had become Der Fuhrer as a result of Hindenburg’s death. Would Gohring likely be the next man up?

Göring was the obvious choice until about 1941 when Himmler began to get more powerful and become closer to Hitler.

Hess is actually a major player now, he is often forgotten but during this time he had some power. Now of course he may not be able to do much with all that power because of his ... Questionable competence, but it's not a smooth succession for Goering like it would be normally

Would the Third Reich withstand Hitler’s death in 1934, though? I don’t think Germany’s at the stage where it’s just going to be Goring and Himmler squaring against each other in 1934. Probably the regime had not been institutionalized enough.

What are the odds that the Third Reich falls and be replaced by a right wing authoritarian regime? Say the DVP and/or DNVP backed by the Wehrmacht?
