We all know that the Reichstag Fire 1933 was one of many strokes of luck to befall the Nazi Party and Hitler during the 1930s. (Or not as a conspiracy could have just as well been hatched)

In fact, one might say without it, the road to the subsequent ban on the leftist and centrist parties in Germany and therefore the creation of one-party state rule, wouldn't have been possible.

That being said, what if Hitler, arguably the master of the Fire Decree that laid the groundwork for the later Enabling Act, had actually been working late on the night the fire was set, and ended up burning alive in the subsequent inferno?

What might happen next? Would an Enabling Act still happen?

Most interestingly, how would Rohm and the SA react
