WI Hasdrubal survives the battle of Metaurus

Let's say Hasdrubal either manages to survive the battle of Metaurus with some of his troops or the battle never occurs. He manages to join Hannibal with his army. Suggestions on how the Second Punic War evolves afterwards and reactions of the Hellenic world if Carthage defeats Rome?

I don't think that Hasdrubal surviving the battle of Metaurus would be enough to change the outcome of the war in Carthage's favour. In my opinion, what was crucial for the outcome of the 2nd Punic War was actually the campaign in Hispania. This way, the Romans opened up a second front, diverting valuable reinforcements for the Carthaginians, while at the same time depriving the Carthaginians of critical resources. As long as the Hispanic campaign still ends in a disaster in the ATL akin to OTL, Carthage will lose. At least in my opinion.

I agree. My thought is that with a significantly larger army and possibly Nero's army destroyed Hannibal could march immediately on Rome or take a wild card and return to Hispania. Or Scipio gets called back from Hispania by the senate.
