WI - Group from Indian subcontinent / SE Asia conquers parts of China

While it is probably unlikely for them to conquer all of China, what if in a similar vein to the Mahakhitan thread (along with this old thread) a group from the Indian subcontinent / SE Asia (minus Tibet) managed to at least conquer and establish an Indianized kingdom / civilization in parts of China?

How would you define Indianized? As Indian as downtown New Delhi or as Indian as old Beijing was Manchu?

But if we're taking Southeast Asia, a Vietnamese Dynasty is very much plausible.

I mean, Vietnam technically conquered parts of southern China during the Tonkin Expedition in 1880s. Even if the French helped them, it still counts.

Would the Nanzhao count? Parts of them were Indianized but most of them were Burmese, Thai, and other. Nanzhao likely had strong religious connections with the Pagan Kingdom in what is today Myanmar, as well as Tibet and Bengal (see Pala Empire). They did get as far as attacking the Tang.

Nanzhao, Vietnam and even Tibet are a few candidates. Would define Indianized as being from the Indian subcontinent or at most culturally linked regions like much of SE Asia and areas with significant Indian cultural influence such as Tibet and Yunnan.

What if the Tai / Shan or other northern peoples around Burma for example managed form a Mongol-like horde and occupy significant parts of southern China (at minimum) from the south during large periods of strife? Apparently even in their divided state, they still managed to wreak havoc along the Irrawaddy / Mekong rivers and were a constant threat in Yunnan and on the western borders of the Laotian kingdoms in OTL.

There is another interesting ATL idea via a no/screwed-Islam scenario that leads to much of Central Asia (beyond Afghanistan) being more culturally linked with India (as well as China to some degree) compared to OTL and significantly influencing the Turkic and other Central Asian peoples, who later end up conquering China.

I could see Indianized Central Asians (like the Kushan) conquering China. Otherwise, no, I really can’t see it.
