WI: Greco-Bactria empire survives longer, and eventually merges with the Tibetan empire?

These are two lesser known empires in Asia that I'm really fascinated about. With the way Greco-Bactria influenced Buddhism, had they survived, how would the diplomacy between them and Tibet be? Would there be mutual contact, conflict, or unification? And if these two united, could they last long enough to reach the beginning of the Mongol conquest? How would they fare together?

Greco-Bactria end in 150BC. Tibetan Empire started 618, and only become Buddhist after 755. Mongols only started at 1206.

There are 7 and half centuries between Greco-Bactria and Buddhist Tibet, another 4 and half to Mongols conquest. Its very unlikely any Kingdom or even Culture last that long.

The greek alphabet was used to write Bactrian well into the samanid dynasty, so it is not impossible with flexible POD. Perhaps Bactrian prince Nezak Tar-Khan allies with the Tibetans and expels the Arabs from transoxiana. He could marry into the tibetan aristocracy to cement an alliance against the arabs to the south, and the sogdian-turgesh alliance to the north.

I think in this WI I'd like to imagine more Greek influences in the mainstream population of the Bactrian people. Greek temples, Symposiums, philosophical schools and military tactics. Two things that I think will have the greatest impact to ensuring the survival of Greco-Bactria, is evolving the Greek Hoplite to be more similar to Roman Phalanx, so that their infantry can be better adjusted to the hilly terrain. Adopt Scythian cavalry tactics in order to better defend and communicate with cities within their region. And most importantly, not spread into India to avoid the overreach of their territory, therefore avoiding the bureaucratic issues that came in OTL. The justification behind this could be based on the idea of using Afghanistan terrain to their advantage, not wanting to overstretch and having the empire value internal fortifications instead of expanding land. Even if the Greek population no longer stays as the aristocratic class, a Greek dominated culture might be able to survive until the rise of the Tibetan empire. Since Greco-Bactria had large influences in Buddhist art and depictions, it would be interesting if their diplomacy involved some sort of mutual exchange of resources between the Bactria region and Tibetan region.
