WI: Greater German Democratic Republic

A bit of an odd suggestion. What if in an attempt on the part of the Soviets to increase their argument to a reunified neutral Germany they enlarged the German zone by unifying it with the Soviet occupation area of Austria and others? Apparently the Poles had been originally thinking of less German land, so might the the Germans keep the Oder as a border or keep the area west of the Oder that Poland took? Might they be connected by parts of the Sudent? All ASB, I know, and also because Stalin demanded that Germany unify and with the condition of the current border, but still. Anyone want to point out the ridiculousness? The areas were almost completely German anyways, and the Dutch and French could probably push more Germans away then, at least if their churches didn't think it "unfair" to the Germans.

Just for the record: Eastern Germany and Austria don´t share a border, the Czech Republic is in between. The only realisitc way to have a greater GDR is by giving Poland East Prussia, Danzig and little else.

Probably should have said Sudetenland instead of "the Sudent" up there. Perhaps the corrider the Germans had been keeping between Moravia and Slovakia. Or give up a fair chunk of Astria north or the Danube or Silesia in exchange for skirting them around the west. On an unrelted note, is there a timeline about Lithuania agreeing to annex north East PRussia?

It had been occupied and evacuated by the Nazis of non-Germans. What I am asking for is some way to connect the Austrian and German areas, even if it means trading the Czechs land from Silesia and upper Austria.
