Okay so we all know that the early Virginians came to the new world looking for gold but were sadly disappointed. This forced the Virginians to look for other opportunities. But WI they did find rivers of gold how would this affect the development of Virginia? Initially the colonist were to trade maufactured goods with the Indians for gold and food in exchange. Does Virginia develop a manufacturing industry along side its agricultural products(tobacco) or does manufacturing win out completely?
