Considering that Brest-Litovsk was a big achievement for Germany and its allies (if it could have been enforced), would not have been a smarter move to seek peace in the Western front, maybe withdrawing (even partially) from Belgium?

Instead of Spring Offensive, Germany could have used the military units freed from the Eastern front for a deffensive strategy in the West and meanwhile, trying to approach UK for peace. Even if no gain in the West, the achievements in the East could satisfy the military Prussian elites.
