WI Germany Fails to defeat Poland, but the Soviet Union does?

In OTL Poland was divided between Germany and the Soviets. However, lets say that in this TL Germany fails to defeat Poland in the west and is pushed back. So, Stalin orders the Red Army to occupy all of Poland and roll into Western Europe. [In this TL the great purges do not occur and the concept of Blitzkreig had been studied extensive by the Russians as well as the Germans]

In that case, the thread title should be "WI a much more aggressive Stalin who didn't purge the Red Army." (Really, you're cramming 3 entirely different major PODs in one post, although I suppose it could be 2 if we assume a total personality transplant for Stalin).

A successful Polish defense in the September Defensive Campaign is more possible than a lot of people think. Had it occurred, Stalin probably would not activate the secret part of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and attacked eastern Poland.

More effective defense, yes. Successful? I seriously doubt it. Polish commanders knew they wouldn't be able to resist Wehrmacht all by themselves - they hoped they would be able to resist till France and Britain attack Germany from the west.
