An interesting point made about the American Revolution's course is how it is possible to avoid the Southern Campaign and still end in an American Victory.

I think a good POD would be Washington winning decisively at Germantown. It was the surprise attack that almost worked but because of confusion and bad luck and weather, did not pan out.
