WI: German unemployment rate post WW1 topped off at 20%

Would the Nazi Party have gained total power in Germany?

Would World War 2 have still happened in Europe?

In retrospect, the surprise isn't that Hitler managed to come to power, but that democracy in Germany didn't break down earlier. It has to be said: During Weimar, Germany was governed in a more incompetent way than ever before.

Hardly a surprise, representative democracy is exactly known for how it promotes competence upon our leaders.

how many direct democracies have their been?
And no matter what, Germany wants its prestige back; and back then it seems their was only one way to gain prestige.

The fact is, that Hitler was probably one of the more sane radicals in Germany; I can only imagine what someone smart would have done.

We choose representative democracy so that our leaders wouldnt get us all killed. Not because we believe that a BB contest produces the most competenent leaders.

Generally, attention seeking and lying do not indicate your ability to lead.
