So in the planning phase of the Acts of Union bringing the Kingdom of Great Britain and Kingdom of Ireland together there was much discussion over what to do about the name and styling.
Let's say George III instead of professing modesty has a little bit of a roman thrill at being called Imperator Brittaniarum and also wants to be on par with Emperor Paul of Russia.
The new flag would be apparently be known as the Imperial United Standard. Would it be at all different with him accepting this title? St. George was known as the Saint of Britain
What would the country be called the Empire of Britannia (ala Empire of Russia)? The British Empire? Imperial Britannia? How would it be subdivided, would you see changes like the Russian reforms to administrative levels? Maybe England split into Kingdoms and Wales a Kingdom too?
Would the change from Royal British Navy to Imperial British Navy come with a makeover, indeed for everything that changes what would be the implications?
What would the Imperial coat of arms be? How would this effect the future of India, Victoria only wanted to be Empress of India because of the Kaiser but now she already will be. Could you perhaps see the Royal Standard not be different in Scotland (as well as vessels having to fly different flags if they were Scottish ships, etcs)
This would also mean a reset of the regnal numbers, could you see George III take on another name too? Arthur perhaps?

What would the anthem become? I can imagine a lot of fervent nationalism in support of this change after the fact.
