WI George H. W. Bush dies after Bush Jr. is born?

As you can see, I am new to this forum. I was wondering if Bush Sr. unfortunately gets struck in an "accident" after Junior (you know what I mean) is born, like say, 1947.

What would the effects be? Will the Bushes move to Texas? Will Junior remain in Connecticut? What will be the butterflies without George Bush Senior involved in politics?

Certainly no move to Texas, that was about Bush Sr. getting out from under his father's feet and trying to make it as a self-made man in the Sunbelt. Dubya would grow up in northeast, in the milieu of Barb's New York high society background. Prescott Jr, Poppy's brother, would carry the political hopes of the family, in Connecticut.

Given his OTL propensities, in this TTL on the back of losing a father, Dubya probably ends up going off the rails completely. Coke and hookers loom. He settles down into a role as Donald Trump's 'embarrassing' best friend in the eighties.

Well, this is assuming that Ms. Bush doesn't remarry or a new father figure ends up in his life. Though I am wondering about the political ramifications as well now. This does mean no Bush Sr. in the upcoming years. Who would take his place after Reagan?

I'm not so sure....I think Reagan would be succeeded by Bob Dole or John Connally (if either of them is VP under Reagan). I also think that Ronald Reagan may not be President after all...

Hmmm how so?

Because thirty plus years of butterflies amounts to a raw shitton? It's why the last line of my post was flippant. There's no way you can cleanly predict decades after a POD, you can only talk in generalities at best. In any case, Bush senior wasn't that emphatic a political force to change the course of the Republican Party by his removal.

I invoked the butterfly effect. For example, if JFK survived his assassination attempt in November 1963, events that happened after the POD(in my example) may be different and as such, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan may not be President.

(Although my example mentioned above may be irrelevant in my WI question...)

or the JFK-Nixon televised debated goes slightly differently and Nixon squeeks out a win in 1960
