WI: Georg of Austria Survives?

The first child and eldest son of Albrecht V, Duke of Austria (future King of the Romans) and Eliska of Luxemburg (daughter of Holy Roman Emperor Sigmund, King of Hungary and Bohemia) was born in 1431. He died in 1435. Hopefully he'd be healthier than his OTL brother was (Ladislaus the Posthumous had leukaemia), but assuming that his parents still die roughly on schedule, dealing with an 8 year old child is a very different kettle of fish to an unborn baby (who may or may not be of the wrong gender).

What might change? And what might remain more or less the same?

Władysław III of Poland is not elected King of Hungary. That have good sides (Polish royal treasure not ruined by his Hungarian adventures, Crown owned lands not passed to nobility as lien by King to get cash in hurry) and bad sides (Władysław was easy to manipulate and less capable than his brother). There is possibility that Polish-Lithuanian union would be broken definitely.

Interesting. You don't think Wladek would still give up a lot of rights because he needs cash to go on crusade against the Turks (and die sooner) instead?

Being King of Poland only Władysław is far less likely to go to crusade, Ottomans are not Poland's problem yet. I wonder how would his relations with younger brother look like? IOTL when news of death of Žygimantas Kęstutaitis reached Władek, he was on the way to Buda, thus he decided to send Kazimierz to Vilnius as his governor, but Kazimierz was inthronized as Grand Duke instead against wish of Władysław. Władek was absorbed by Hungarian affairs, thus he did nothing about this, but now, not having to worry about Elisabeth of Luxembourg and her son, what would he do? Queen mother Sophia is still alive, so she could mediate between her sons.
