WI - Garveyist Liberia?

Let's say that Marcus Garvey manages to acquire the same land that Firestone Rubber Company purchased and establishes the UNIA as a force to be reckoned with in Liberia. The Great Depression sees many Liberians radicalized by Garvey's Black nationalist and pan-African rhetoric, leading to the UNIA coming to power in the early 1930s. What would a Liberia under Garvey's control look like?

How does he come to power in the first place. He has no connections what so ever to Liberia. I doubt the Americo-Liberians are going to attracted to an ideology that would mean the loss of their privileged position nor would the True Whig party tolerate challengers. I doubt the Natives beyond the elite have the literacy rates for such an ideology and attempts to spread it to them would result in the Liberian government coming down hard on the new-comers.

They're going to get overthrown relatively easy by the Liberian military, so a Master Sgt. Samuel Kenyon Doe-like figure will arrive sooner than OTL.
