How long have we got before the SS arrests us all on charges of plotting to rape the dog of the President of the United States of America?

The SS? But I thought Himmler is currently busy molesting Harry Potter?

Oh, I don't mind it, old boy! As I say, I've noticed it enough times to see that there is indeed interest in several of the Great Old Ones you are lifting from the Stygian Gloom. Lord, I'm florid this evening. Er, anyway, perhaps you could pop a note on your post when you resurrect a thread, saving chaps like AHP a certain pinkness of hue. ;)

You appear to be the only one who doesn't mind.... Some say "don't start new threads on old subjects", then some say "don't resurrect old ones"...:confused: Believe it or not, the necro got me kicked over complaints. I really, really don't get it. If someone (not just me:p) has (relevant!) thoughts on old threads, or corrections that might be made to old comments, we should...keep them to ourselves?:confused:

I don't think it's a problem, but you should mention that you're bringing back an old thread in your post in case some people  don't notice it's a really, really old thread.

Also, a thread this old probably shouldn't be revived because everyone's POVs change over time and half the people in this thread are gone.

Finally, it doesn't appear that you read the thread, as you totally ignored all the previous discussion, so some people might have been irritated by that.

Getting this thread back on track

Had the straights been opened to Allied shipping the supply Situation would have improved for the Russian Army, but only moderately. Roads from the Crimea to the front were few and far between.

From what I've read in 1917 Britain and France agreed to give Constantinople to the Russians at the end of the war too keep Russia in the war. This of course became moot when the Reds seized power and dropped out of the war.

This would've had a great impact on Bulgaria and Greece probably bringing them both into the war against Germany and Austria probably saving Serbia.
