WI future Sultan Mahmud II was murdered in 1808?

In 1808, Mahmud II's predecessor (and half-brother) Mustafa IV(1807–08) ordered his execution along with his cousin, the deposed Sultan Selim IIIhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selim_III (1789–1807), in order to defuse a rebellion. Selim III was killed, but Mahmud was safely kept hidden by his mother and was placed on the throne after the rebels deposed Mustafa IV. The leader of this rebellion, Mustafa Bayrakdar, then became Mahmud II's Vizier.
WI Mahmud was killed in 1808? Who gets the throne after the deposition of Mustafa IV? How is the lack of Mahmud II affects History and the Ottoman Empire? Any thoughts?

Again? How many times are we doing this scenario? Seriously, do you just sit around at home trying to think of ways to destroy the Ottoman Empire? You need to branch out to other topics.

If Mahmud were killed the empire would probably disintegrate. Happy?

Come on... Who told u that i am trying to destroy again the Ottomans? I did that once or twice yes... But right now i am not aiming to that... Just asking who will get the throne after both Selim and Mahmud died and what happens if Mahmud II is eliminated from History... I didnt mentioned anything about civil war or dissolution of the Ottoman Empire...

Do you think that the absence of a strong Sultan such as Mahmud II would delay or abolish enttirely the reforms enacted by his predecessors?
Since Mahmud is murdered too the nain Osmanli line would be extinct and some Sultan from female line would be proclaimed i guess... But would he be strong enough (and have enough support also) to continue the reforms?
