WI:Fusu and Meng Tian refused to obey the false order to commit suicide?

Just a question, what would have happened if those two refused to commit suicide, knowing that the edict ordering them to commit suicide was probably false and ordered their army of 300,000 to march on Xianyang? How likely would they be able to get rid of Zhao Gao,Li Shi and Huhai as well as their cronies?Assuming Fusu and Meng Tian succeeded, would Qin still survive or would things get even more chaotic in the ensuring war against the anti-Qin rebels than OTL?

Not an expert, but considering that they're defending a regime that just lost the single most hated ruler in China, they're just delaying the inevitable by a few months or years t best.

Wait, doesn't that mean that if Fusu (who seems far saner and more pragmatic than his father) lived, him ascending the Imperial Throne would avoid the downfall of the Qin? For those who hate his father, he seems to be the best bet. A Rhaegar to Ying Zheng's Aerys, without the whole Lyanna episode.

I don't think they are delaying the inevitable. At most,I think they are just going to lose the territories Shi Huang Di conquered instead of having the entirety of Qin including it's heartland conquered by rebels as well.At least,Meng Tian was an exceptional general(being able o crush the Xiongnu) and probably won't lose as catastrophically against Xiang Yunif not outfit defeat him.The result of the Battle of Julu was in itself extraordinary itself.Fusu himself seems to be a competent man that's much more kind and merciful compared to his father.

It also means that Zhao Gao and Huhai won't be able to f#$k up Qin by killing competent civil and army officials and replacing them with cronies.
