WI: Franklin Pierce dies in 1853?

On January 6th, 1853, the train carrying president Franklin Pierce and his family was in an accident, killing his young son. On April 18th, 1853, his vice president, William R. King died of Tuberculosis. So, what if Franklin Pierce had died, instead of or as well as his son?

Yeah it might... My timeline does have quite a few butterflies, but in terms of cause and events what would mainly happen is: Pierce dies, Atchison becomes president, America is sectionalized faster. (All of which happened in my timeline which I recommend you read)
