What if Napoleon decided to sell more than just Lousianna to the United States? The Americans claimed that they originally were paying ten million for New Orleans so what if Napoleon decided to get rid of Haiti (did it include all of Hispanolia at the time?) and some of the more valuable and valueless French possessions. What if he decided to use them as collateral for loans even, putting forth Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Guiana, Haiti, and the other sugar islands under American control so that he could clandeilly recieve money from it when the British would no doubt invade otherwise? Would he be able to chuck the Dutch possessions in for a few more million after confiscating the valuable things for himself? Would the Americans accept these and if so how would their defense and upkeep effect the War of 1812 and the possible attempts by the others to keep or retrieve them from the Americans?
