Amid the tensions brought about by the Ruhr Crisis, the French government decides to send a clear message to the Germans in 1923.
Whilst the French army occupies the Ruhr itself, bombers are sent in to "pre-emptively" bomb several German cities in the Rhineland. Casualties reaches the thousands and the material damage is immense.
With this action taken, does Weimar fold to French demands? Does this butterfly away the rise of the Nazis? And would a bold measure to enforce Versailles prevent an outbreak of a second war?
