WI, Fort Eben-Emael Holds Out

If Memory Serves me corectly, Eben-Emael was suposed to hold for at least 3 days until the French Army and the BEF could fully move into Belgium.

As we know, that did nto happen, But what if Eben-Emael and the belgian armed forces had held out for those 3 crucial day's. Would it have made any differance at all.

I know this is a old thread but with reading a lot of timelines After 1900 and ASB, I was wondering what the forum thinks of the consequences of a failed Airbourne assault on the forts would be, either the idea isn't thought of, AA guns on the roof plus glider defence of the gliders get caught in the Air by belguim fighters and get shot up and dispersed.

If the forts do hold, would this hold up the advance for a bit whilst the germans move up their heavy guns towards the low contries?
