WI: Ferdinand I of Austria and Maria Anna of Savoy had a son

What if emperor Ferdinand I of Austria (notable for his seizures and his abdication in favour of Franz Josef) and Maria Anna of Savoy, sixth child of Victor Emmanuel I of Savoy, had a son or more together, around the 1830's?

I also ask myself the same question, Any name for the archduke?

Maximilian Philipp August Stephen Ferdinand Maria Karl Thomas Von Habsburg-Lothringen

Pays homage to important Habsburg & non-Habsburgs from the core realms of the dynasty. Probably go by Maxl (Maximilian Philipp) or Karl Thomas or August Stephen

Agreed with Benevolence.

Though is it possible for them to have kids, given Ferdinand's issues?

Unlikely. At least at the Austrian court they thinked he was unable so while he was the heir was married late to a second choice bride just in case...

Who was the first choice, if I may ask? And didn't Gudinand have something like 50 fits a day? My mind just went to a seriously dark place if he has a fit (or several) while they're busy... Not to mention I read somewhere that Maria Anna's role was more of a nurse than an empress, particularly after Gudinand abdicated.

Naturally the first choice of the Austrian court was princess Sophie of Bavaria who was married to Ferdinand's younger brother years before Maria Anna and Ferdinand's wedding
